Replit Mobile App Development: What It Produces

Replit documents a mobile app workflow using its Agent with Expo previews and an App Store submission path. Building a native mobile app and using Replit’s own phone app are distinct activities with different available workflows.

The device you build on and the output differ

A phone can be used to manage or describe a web project without that project becoming a native app. Replit directs native mobile development to its web workflow, making the output type an important detail.

Previewing is separate from store approval

Replit’s mobile page describes previewing on a physical device and preparing an App Store submission. It also states that Apple’s normal review still applies before an app is listed.

The running environment gives a preview its meaning

A development workspace brings together source files, execution, and a way to inspect a result. For a mobile idea, the preview needs to be understood in relation to the project's actual framework and target. A browser view and an installed phone experience answer different questions.

Connected data and device features can extend beyond the first preview. A screen showing sample records does not establish that real accounts or persistent data are connected. These distinctions help describe what has been demonstrated and what the application still depends on.
