From App Idea to MVP with AI: What an MVP Means
An MVP is a minimum viable product: a small usable version that helps test whether an idea serves a real need. AI can help produce an implementation, while the useful scope depends on what the intended users actually need to accomplish.

For a neighbourhood borrowing app, requesting and returning one item may reveal more than a wide menu of unfinished features. The important question is whether people can complete the core exchange.
A usable version and a visual concept answer different questions
A prototype can explore a layout or interaction. An MVP gives early users enough working behaviour to evaluate the central idea in practice, with a deliberately limited scope.
A minimum product still has a complete purpose
An MVP narrows the product to a meaningful initial outcome. A booking request that can be submitted and understood is a different scope from a complete scheduling business. Fewer features can still form a coherent experience if the central job is clear.
AI-generated additions can expand the apparent scope quickly. Extra screens do not automatically help answer the original product question. This makes the relationship between purpose, included behaviour, and observed use more useful than the number of features in the first version.
