What is web accessibility?

Download on the App Store ↗Access involves more than appearance
An image needs an appropriate text alternative when it carries information. A form needs understandable labels, and navigation needs to work without a mouse. Accessibility depends on structure, content, and behaviour together.
People reach the same content in different ways
Someone may navigate a page with a keyboard, enlarge the text, or use a screen reader. Clear headings, meaningful control names, and visible focus help connect the page's structure to those ways of using it. Accessibility concerns ordinary content and actions throughout the site.
Appearance alone does not communicate every state. An error indicated only by a colour may lose its meaning for some readers. Providing an understandable relationship between the message and the affected control makes the interaction clearer as well as more accessible.
Think about the people behind an interaction
